田横岛
Tianheng Island
位于即墨市田横岛省级旅游度假区横门湾内,因齐王田横兵败率五百众在此聚居,田横逝后,麾下宁死不屈,集体自刎于该岛而得名。历史上曾有诸多文人雅士前来凭海吊古,留下诗文与画作。有神龟石、老仙洞、狮身人面石、龙戏水等自然景观,还有田横五百义士墓、田横雕像、海底世界、海神庙等人文景观。1982年,被列为市级文物保护单位。2001年,被国家旅游局确定为国家AAA级景区。
Located in Hengmen Bay, Tianheng Island Provincial Tourist Resort of Jimo, the Island was named after that TIAN Heng, the king of Qi Kingdom, who led five hundred subordinates to live here after his defeat, and when TIAN Heng died, his subordinates would rather die than submit and collectively committed suicide by cutting own their throats. Historically, many Brahmins visited the Island and pondered on the past, with poems, essays and paintings left. There are both natural landscapes such as Stone of Immortal Turtle, Old Immortal Cavity, Stone of Lion-like Body and Human-like Face and Dragon Playing Water and cultural ones such as Tomb of TIAN Heng’s Five Hundred High-Minded Subordinates, Statue of TIAN Heng, Underwater World and Temple of Sea God. It was listed into municipal-level protected units of cultural relics in 1984 and was appraised as National Class-AAA Resort.
